Hello all!

Welcome to another devotional Wednesday

Let's get to it....!

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 9:12-27

OBSERVATION: The gospel in 1st Corinthians 9 is inviting children of God to see themselves as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ; no matter what their calling is. Three themes of  ministers and servant-hood are: the well being of  Gospel ministers, being at peace with others in order to bring gospel salvation, and running the good race of salvation.

Ministers of God’s gospel; men and women of God that lead the flock are to live and be cared for by the giving of church. To peaceably bring the gospel of Christ to all means to humble one’s self to associate with people of all likes and degrees. The journey of our salvation in Christ Jesus is like training for a race we run: so to win at the end. As children of God we must endeavor to do our very best in truth to serve God and be godly people. The humility of a servant of God means to give freely Jesus to others.

APPLICATION TO LIFE: I am learning to be more humble, by praying against pride. Because every child of God is a servant of God, they have been  called in some way to minister, the  love and good news of Christ Jesus. I have learned  that the best way to bring the gospel is to be Christ to someone, meaning to love others by caring for their needs. Show God by  loving like Jesus did. Praying always for and against sin or ungodly things and obstacles to one’s salvation, is one way to run the good race of faith.

PRAYER: Lord, Jesus Christ empowered me to seek God’s will in order to minister love and Jesus news to others and overcome every weakness to my faith. In Jesus name Amen.

About Me

As a young adult still trying to figure life out, I have got my own handful of rolloercoster adventures of life: good and bad. Having my own personal experiences, one thing I can say that was a constant factor that brought me out and through was my faith.
