Hello All!
Welcome to another devotional Wednesday.
Let’s get to it
This month’s theme is ...
Jesus the Faith Promise
SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 15
OBSERVATION: Ever ask yourself the question; why am I a Christian? Well there is one answer to that and much explanation of it. The book of 1 Corinthians 15 explains the purpose and the goal of our Christian faith. Sin is the power of death and the law is the power of sin. God’s intentions in his relationship with humanity is defined through Adam, and Jesus Christ. Adam is the 1st man and Jesus is the second man. Through Adam came sin, the futility of the law and consequently death. God wanted to be close to humanity but sin entered by deception of the enemy and brought separation. Through Jesus Christ came victory over sin and death and a final chance for redemption to God. Jesus' death and resurrection makes the christian faith infallible; a truth. The labor of our christian faith is therefore not in vain. In running the good race of faith we must remember the teaching of Christ as preached and continue in the word of God. The goal of faith in Christ is Victory while on earth and victory beyond death.
APPLICATION TO LIFE: My faith journey is a progressive process of growth and strength as a child of God. Each year I see that my faith grows in one way or another; because the problems I face are not the same and also not at the same level. Challenges of life come to test our faith in God. Even if we don’t pass a test, there will be another opportunity for growth. God loves all, but especially his children, and therefore wants us to love him truthfully and powerfully. Currently I am eager to learn more of God’s words and live them. It’s only the word of God that can be used as a weapon of victory over evil and the enemy. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to be victorious in Christ.
PRAYER: Dear, God grant me the strength by the power of your Holy Spirit to know your word more and more. In Jesus Name Amen.
