I Have the Mind of Christ

Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2

Observations: God’s message is preached  only by the power of the Holy Spirit and not merely on man’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:13). People are not only drawn to what God’s servants speak but it takes the Holy Spirit Power in the seed sown in them to transform the person. 

This is the reason that men of the world do not grasp the Godly things, in the same way they are received by those  who come to believe in God by faith (1 Corinthians 2:!4). Jesus was prophesied but many of the rulers of that time did not see it that way.

No one knows another man’s mind, only the man knows what is of his mind. In the same way no one knows God’s will/mind unless the Holy Spirit reveals it to them. Because we are not of the world and no longer enslaved to sin, by fear,  therefore God's spirit can know his will (1 Corinthians 2:16).

Application to Life: Sometimes when we are under spiritual attack or under great discouragement we feel dismayed thinking that the enemy has gotten to us and the world is against us. People can become unnecessarily anxious or demonically disturbed when they come to entertain or believe the lies of the enemy that their intentions or thoughts are known. This is not true, because the devil and people do not know what your thoughts are. The Devil can only use your fear or his lies to get to your mind, therefore that is why God wants us to resist the enemy and reject his lies to not fear.

Prayer: Dear God, let any fear of lies of the enemy be destroyed in my life and may the truth of Jesus Christ overcome the devil's lies in my life. Amen.
