Welcome All!

It's another Devotional Wednesday

Let's get to it!

Scripture: Romans 13

Observation: The word  of God in Romans 13, Shows us another way to do God’s command of Love; which covers  all other commandments. God wants his children and even all to love each other; especially those in authority because Jesus came to show us how. Before Jesus came and even now to those who don’t know God, all were in darkness and lost to the power of sin. Now we have Jesus and the light of truth to empower us to live righteously above sin and the flesh. We can love each other and specifically those in authority by; respecting them, being in humility and submitting to their leadership. Honoring those over us is the same as honoring God because of the law and doing what they instruct.

Examples of authority figures include: Parents, Presidents, Governors, Leaders in the Community, Church leaders, Professionals and Royals, etc.

Application to Life: When I was younger I was a little rebellious to my parents. After going through experiences of humility and facing the consequence of my actions, I learned to listen and follow instructions. It is best to be honest to all, so you will be blessed.

Prayer: Oh God my Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit to be humble, remain loving to others and respect all. In Jesus Name, Amen.
