Let’s look at some promises to the New Year that God has already given us.

God says to us that we will never be ashamed; we his children will never be ashamed to call him our God. Do you trust God? How much do you trust God?, Will you trust him for your New Year?!. (2021). God is a God of new beginnings, he always makes things new. As we enter into a new season, a new year, God promises new things for those who will trust in him. Let’s look at his promise in Isaiah 42:9 “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” God never leaves his people out of the loop. In his own way and many ways he reveals what he will do or what he has for you. God makes us to understand by his word, his holy spirit, by his power, what he has for us, we only have to trust and believe him for it. For the New Year God says in Isaiah 43:18-19 to not worry, to not think or ponder about the past, but to trust him for something new. God says, for the new year he will make a way for you no matter the situation; what you went through or is going through. In the New Year, even from the first month, God promises by his word in Joel 2:21-27, that you will receive all you need to prosper this New Year and be fruitful. God tells you and me to not be afraid, because he is ready to do new things, bring restoration and move you to your next level, bring you to a new place where your enemies will not reach you ( Deuteronomy 14:13-15). Forget any shame of the past and trust God for something new, trust God for new beginning. You can start this New Year, in January to believe God for everything you need and desire, again he says his people will not be ashamed. God never fails --- trust him and he will bless and keep you all through 2021.
Application to Life: This New Year tell yourself many times I will not worry, but I will trust God. Whatever you are doing: school, career, family, business, etc. continue in it. If you have a great idea go to God with it. Have faith and don’t give up anything good you are into. Even your battles, God says don’t fear. Always have God’s words as your defense and comfort. Use his words to motivate you and always pray. You can always write a prayer list. Pray on it and see what God does through the year! And through your life!
Prayer: Oh God our father let your promises be our hope this New Year. May God, our hearts be strong to wait on you and all your blessings this New Year? In Jesus name Amen.
