God is a God of Justice

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to another devotional Wednesday!

Let's get to it...!

SCRIPTURE: Acts 16 and Proverbs 16:7

OBSERVATION: “when a man’s ways pleases the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (Proverbs 16:7).

God is a god of justice, he judges right always. As Christians it’s commendable to be a person of integrity, because God honors such people and is for them. Paul and Silas were Roman citizens and did nothing wrong; save to preach Jesus. For that they were unjustly persecuted and lied against without a trial. Then they were put into prison, because of their honest work for the Lord. God heard their cry for help and answered their prayer. They were released miraculously from prison and won souls for God. The Jail keeper was so afraid to the point of attempting suicide, but, St. Paul assured him that the prisoners had not escaped. This Jailer and his whole household came to believe in Jesus Christ, because  he witnessed Paul and Silas miracle. Paul and Silas eventually were escorted off by the same officers ( of the Roman state) that imprisoned them. When our ways are honest before God and man, he will always make a way for us.

APPLICATION TO LIFE: Being a person of truth and integrity will make one go far in life. As a new nurse sometimes I behave proudly as though I know so much, but I have learned it is best to do my work honestly and to focus on my role. Teamwork is good because it humbles a person to know it is not just them or about them. Rather, teamwork is about everyone and doing the work well. When you are a person with humility you work better with others.

PRAYER: Oh God, Father Lord, bless me with your Holy Spirit to live honestly among others and be truthful in all my ways. In Jesus name, Amen.
