Hello Everyone!
Welcome to another Devotional Wednesday!
Let's look at the Spiritual Gift of Ministering.
Key Scripture: Romans 15
Corresponding Scripture: Romans 12
REFLECTIONS: Romans 15 is exemplar of the spiritual gift of ministering ; which incorporates Spiritual attributes of ‘giving’ and ‘Service’ (Romans 12). St. Paul in Romans 15, Shows believers the necessity of ministering to one another and now to minister.
THEMES OF MINISTRATION:
Ministry of Salvation [ Romans 15:7-9]: Jesus came to the 1st minister to the Jews and then also to the gentiles, so in all the scripture is fulfilled and God glorified. St. Paul became a minister to greatly the gentiles ( Romans 15:16-20).
Ministering to the Physical Needs [ Romans 15:26-29]: Here we also learn that it’s important to care and give not only to the spiritual upkeep of each other, but also the physical needs.
Ministering to the Spiritual Needs [Romans 15: 30-33]: St. Paul makes us see that we must pray for our leaders, as the leaders likewise pray and minister spiritually to them. He asks for protection prayer to be offered to God as he travels to the saints in Jerusalem to oversee them and bring necessities.
LIFE APPLICATION: How can we better serve one another as brothers and sisters in Christ and in the commandment of Love. Being a giver is one way to serve, prayer for others is another way to serve. Thank God for the fruit of love by his Holy Spirit. When you serve one another by love you fulfill God’s command and will be blessed.
PRAYER: Dear God, by the power of Holy Ghost empower me the more to always be ready to give to others and pray for others. In Jesus name, Amen.
