Hello All ! It’s a new week!

Welcome to a Devotional Wednesday!

OK, Let’s get into this weeks Theme! 👉

Faith Practice: Putting others First

So the reference scripture we will be looking at is ... James 1 versus 19-27

Also other scriptures includes James 2; 14-25.

Now let’s get in to it!

True religious practice is unselfish, humble and caring. Practicing our faith involves selfless acts of putting others first and changing of the inner man. We don’t make ourselves more important than others, but try to show love by trying to understand them and help them. We must be ready to show our faith by practice. This is so true as explained in James 2(14-25), which is the key scripture that talks about faith and works. Essentially this scripture says that faith without works is dead meaning that we must show our faith by our actions or what we do. What you say and do shows what type of person you are, how you are on the inside (mind and soul). Therefore to help improve or change our behavior/ our external, we must change and improve our mind, soul and spirit. To do all of this, the word of God has to be a part of us, part of our living. For the word to become a part of us we must obey it.

Applications to Life: Try to find ways to actively practice and remember the word.

Prayer: God help me to love your word. Teach me to understand your words. Let your word oh God change me to forsake sin and to see the things that are wrong for me. Amen!
