It’s a June Devotional Wednesday! Mid-Week faith boost! For this Month of June, the Theme is …! “An Unction for Holiness, Faithfulness, Love”
Scripture - 1 Peter 1: 13- 25- Be Holy (an admonition to live our lives faithfully, holy, to God; until the day of Christ).
The Scripture in 1 Peter 1:13-25 very much echoes a lot of Godly principles seen throughout the Bible: both in the Old and New Testament. Beginning with the hope of our salvation, our saving by faith in Christ; Peter unction believers to judge their life by continuing in their faith walk. Faith is continuous, it is the beginning of our salvation and grows until the Fullness of our salvation comes. Because of our faith in God, we are called to be like our heavenly father in everyway that Jesus showed to live. God is holy and God is love, therefore two biggest principles that is highlighted in this scripture is holy living and truthful love of others. Our faith grows when we are exposed to the word of God by the power of the holy spirit. The word fine tunes our minds to act holy by living faithfully and loving.
Application to Life - Faith is a process that never ends. Like many believers out there, my faith is in its own process. I have left a lot of old things in the past. “I am a new creation” but when there are trials of life my faith needs strength--- because faith will be tested always, therefore it must grow.
Prayer - Oh God by your power strengthen my faith to live above life and to continue in the love of others, in Jesus Name. Amen.
