Observation: Themes of Acts 5 and 6
Servants of God/ People of God, The work of God are purposed to grow and bear fruit ( fruitful).
(Acts 5 vs 12,14,15,16)
By Fame: People hear of it and notice the signs and wonders with miracles.
Converts and Evangelism: People are attracted to the work of God and his word to the point of conversion or believing.
By the diversity of works and works of ministry by the Holy Spirit Power (Acts 6: 1-7).
( Acts 5 vs 17, 18, 19)
People of God ( true)/ Ministries of God and Ministers of God and are untouchable and unstoppable.
A true child of God can't be harmed or killed or stopped easily. God will always deliver them from enemies and unjustifiable situations.
Because they're doing the work of God, nobody and no power can stop what God has called them to do ( Acts 5 vs 20, 34-42).
Any true servant of God, Work of God will face persecution or challenges from the world, people of the world, the enemy and in life.
As a Christians our way is different from the rest of the world. Therefore because we believers do not agree with worldly things we're hated and this is reflected through policies or laws and legal actions.
An example in the book of Acts, is when the apostles were told to stop preaching Christ by Jewish leaders of the time who were the legal government. They were put in prison, sent to court, falsely accused even to death
Application to Life: As a servant of God I'm doing the work of God and living out my Christian faith in Truth fulfilling. We must reflect on how we are growing as children of God and in our ministry. Do you as a child of God liken yourself to people of the world or the mainstream perspective on life?. As a child of God what challenges or persecutions do you face for living at the truth of Christ Jesus?
Prayer: Oh, Holy Spirit,empower me to speak of Jesus and tell of God’s goodness. I receive the boldness to do the work of God in the name of Jesus, Amen.
