Hello All! Happy Wednesday! 👋

Continuing on This Week’s Theme :The Flesh and its Works versus The Holy Spirit and its Fruits
Introduction:
Okay, Lets look at Galatians 5:16-25 and what is says. The scripture in Galatians 5 speaks on living a spirit led life against fulfilling the desires of the flesh.
The holy spirit and our flesh are contrary to one another and is in conflict against each other. Without the power of the holy spirit it is hard to do good or live righteously. We need the power of the holy spirit to resist sin and to overcome the lust of the flesh. Through the power of the holy spirit we can live in the liberty or the freedom of Christ; doing good by loving and serving.
SO......What is The Flesh???
Well According to Scripture the Flesh is the Sin Nature of Man
Ephesians 2:3 explains it like this::: All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.
This is why man is naturally evil. The holy spirit helps and empowers us to be naturally good.
The flesh and the holy spirit is constantly at war.
*--- Because of Christ’s Power The Flesh Can Be Destroyed---*
According to Galatians 5:20-21 – The works of the flesh are “sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like."
AND
The Fruits of the Spirit, according to Galatians 5: 22-23 are "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control."
Similarly Romans 8 Talks about the Conflict of The Flesh and The Holy Spirit
Lets Take a Look!
We need the power of the holy spirit to overcome the power of the flesh. In the flesh; fulfilling its pleasures and lust by the carnality of our mind it is very difficult to do the will of God. This is why the 10 commandments was not enough to make people to be righteous and to do good. This Law only made the sinfulness of the human nature even more apparent. God had a plan, something new that is a sure salvation to his people.
Through Christ God made us his children by filling us with his spirit. God did what the Law could not archive and we in our sin nature was weak and powerless to do. God helps us to be righteous; through his spirit in us we naturally come to do good by loving and obeying him. God gives us the power to destroy flesh and its evil works.
