Itā€™s another devotional Wednesday! Hope your week has been great.

Holidays are finally here! Next week is Thanksgiving!šŸ¦ƒšŸ›šŸ–

Lets get in to the theme ā€œFavor in place of Weaknessā€

Scripture isā€¦.! šŸŽ‡

Romans 14

Everything that a person does out of his or her own heart is for the lord. We don not judge others because they are not like us, or they donā€™t do what we do even though they have already been accepted by God. Christ is the judge of all. We are only to love each other regardless of our differences because Christ is overall. What is weak to me may not be weak to the other person. Romans 14:23 says ā€œAnything done without faith is sinā€, meaning if we go against our conscience or conviction we are in sin (God shows you something is wrong for you). We should, however, not look down on other Christians for exercising their freedom in it.


Application to Life: Over the years I have been able to exercise great discipline over what I consume: whether itā€™s music, movies, shows, food, books and the online web and everything. Primary because of my health, but also because of my faith. There is a lot of junk out there these days, in the media and entertainment industry especially. A person of faith (speaking to you brothers and sisters in the lord), must exercise some spiritual discipline when it comes to these things because they do influence us. Sometimes we donā€™t know it but, in our thoughts, emotions, interactions, mannerisms and outward behaviors yes. I am not saying everything out there you see and listen to is bad, but not all is good either. Music over the years has gotten dark, entertainment has become all inclusive, moral and value has gone down. The holy spirit convicts us and guides us about these things. Sometimes they cause one to sin. We need God in our lives to swim through all that the world throws towards us: YOU and I have a choice on what we allow to enter into our beings.


Connection Verse-> Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableā€”if anything is excellent or praiseworthyā€”think about such things.


Prayer: God bless me to walk in your freedom by the power of your Grace and Mercy. In Jesus Name.
